HELPING YOU FIND BALANCE & HEALING

Compassionate Counselling

& Therapy in Calgary

Hi, I’m  Brittany Williams

M.A , Registered Psychologist

Mental Health Counselling in Calgary | Alberta

My passion for the helping profession ignited when I was just 15, while volunteering on a project in a rural area of Costa Rica. Living with a host family in a small village, I experienced firsthand the profound fulfillment that comes from helping others, which ultimately set me on my journey to becoming a psychologist.

In 2023—22 years after this volunteering experience—I returned to the village I volunteered in to search of my host family. Finding them still living in the same home and reuniting with them was one of the most impactful moments of my life. The warmth of our reunion brought back a flood of memories, reminding me of the deep connections we formed. It reinforced my belief in the power of relationships and community, both in personal life and in therapy. This experience reminded me that the impact of kindness and compassion can last a lifetime, shaping who we are and guiding our paths forward.

Fast forward to present day, I am a psychologist who prides myself on being empathetic and deeply committed to fostering genuine connections with my clients. I approach my work with the understanding that, just as I was shaped by that experience in Costa Rica, everyone I encounter has a unique story that deserves to be heard and validated, reminding me that the seeds of compassion we plant can grow into lasting change.

I’m a registered member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists' Association of Alberta. My educational background includes a master’s degree in counselling psychology, an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a diploma in Behavioural Science.

When I’m not in the counselling room, you can usually find me exploring new places, enjoying quality time with my family (including my cherished fur babies), sharing laughter with friends, or immersing myself in the beauty of nature. Whether hiking in the mountains or savoring a quiet moment at the beach, I find that nature has a unique way of grounding me, allowing me to return to my practice with renewed energy and insight.
